All Kinds of Things: October 2013

In this post I´ll be talking a little bit about my favorite band , Avenged Sevenfold (normally abreviated to A7X). The band was formed in Huntington Beach , California in 1999. In the beggining the band had just 4 members.

In 2001 they launched their first album called Sounding the Seventh Trumpet , one music of the album was rewritten with the new guitar player Synyster Gates (Brian Haner Jr.)

In 2003 they launched their second album called Waking the fallen with the classic formation of the band Justin Sane was replaced by Johnny Christ ( Johnathan Seward ). Synyster gates entered as oficial solo guitar player. The album was considered one of the best metal albums of the history.

In 2005 they launched their third album named City Of Evil , with this album the band got the mainstream with the song Bat Country .

In 2007 they launched their fourth album named Avenged Sevenfold . The album won the second place at Billboard´s best album of the year award .

In the end of 2009 the band passed by a tragedy . The death of The Rev . The band was emotionally bad but decided to move on for the fans . After 1 month was declarated that The Rev died of accidentally overdose. The Rev was replaced by his idol Mike Portnoy ( ex member of Dream Theater ) . In memory of The Rev, his backing vocals are used in the shows and Zacky Vengeance used an expression in his guitar in his memory (foREVer).

In 2010 they launched their fifth album called Nightmare. The album was all in memory of Jimmy and have his backing vocals and a song written by his best friend Synyster Gates called So Far Away in his memory . The album have a song written by Jimmy 3 days after his death called Fiction . Because of this song, a lot of people think he committed suicide because it is like a farewell letter. The album got number in Billboard´s awards .

In 2011 Mike Portnoy left the band and Arin Illejay entered in his place and it´s now a member for the rest of his life .

In 2013 the band launched their new album called Hail To The King . In the first album having Arin in the drums and the first album with no interferences of The Rev , but in the deluxe version of the album there´s an extra song called St.James in memory of him. The album now is the number one bestseller in the world and made the band very popular . In September 22nd, they made their show in Rock in Rio , and it was considered the best show of the festival .
